Medical Alerts Class

Medical Alerts Class

The Crazy2Calm Canine Coaches have partnered to bring you the Medical Alert Workgroup to teach you how to train your Service Dog to do Medical Alerts for a wide variety of medical disabilities that present with scent based indicators of a need for action.

We will be focusing on training a specific alert behavior the dog can do to let their human know a medical issue is about to happen based on the dog smelling a biological change in their handler.

This is geared toward the following alerts:

  • Migraine Alerts

  • Diabetic Alerts

  • Cardiac Alerts

The Scent Based Medical Alerts Class is a self study class, designed to be completed in about 3 months. We provide additional support via the C2C TEAM Task Support Program with a weekly zoom session for group support. All of the lessons are pre-recorded classes, training videos and written materials.

Students have access to all materials for 1 year and direct Canine Coach Support for 3 months after purchasing the class or as long as you are a member of the TEAM Task Support Program.

You can sign up for the class any time, gaining immediate access to the introductory materials. Then a new module will become available every week to allow you time to work on each lesson.

For this to be successful, you must have a Service Dog or Service Dog in Training that you are working with to do the homework as you learn. If you don't have a Service Dog yet, or if your Service Dog in Training is less then 6 months old, please contact us to see what other resources we can offer you.
