  Scent Based Medical Alerts Class

The Crazy 2 Calm Canine Coaches have partnered to bring you the Medical Alert Workgroup to teach you how to train your Service Dog to do Medical Alerts for a wide variety of medical disabilities that present with scent based indicators of a need for action.

We will be focusing on training a specific alert behavior the dog can do to let their human know a medical issue is about to happen based on the dog smelling a biological change in their handler.

This is geared toward the following alerts:

• Migraine Alerts
• Diabetic Alerts
• Cardiac Alerts

The Scent Based Medical Alerts Class is a self study class, designed to be completed in about 3 months. We provide additional support via the C2C Study Group on Facebook and a Community Chat with the Canine Coaches. The cost of the workgroup is $125 for 6 topics including pre-recorded classes, training videos and written materials. Students have access to all materials for 1 year and direct Canine Coach Support with 1-to-1 Sessions at the end of the class.

Yes! There will be homework! In each topic you will have 1 or 2 actions to do with your dog in the training process. These should take you less then 5 minutes a day, but are best if you can do them daily. This is why we suggest you do a new topic every 2 weeks to allow you time to work on each topic.

For this to be successful, you must have a Service Dog or Service Dog in Training that you are working with to do the homework as you learn. If you don't have a Service Dog yet, or if your Service Dog in Training is less then 6 months old, please contact us to see what other resources we can offer you.

The cost of this class is $150, which is an awesome deal considering all the information and support we offer to all the workgroup participants!
